MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE INDICATOR ASSESSMENT
The MBTI, created by Isabel Myers and Katharine Briggs based on Carl Jung’s theory of psychological types, identifies how people prefer to gain energy (Extraversion or Introversion), take in information (Sensing or Intuition), make decisions (Thinking or Feeling), and interact with the world (Judging or Perceiving). While everyone uses all eight aspects, we tend to favor one in each pair—similar to being right- or left-handed. No preference is better than another.
Good decision-making involves considering different viewpoints and evaluating information effectively. The MBTI Step II facets, particularly those linked to Sensing, Intuition, Thinking, and Feeling, help improve this process. Six decision-making styles emerge from the Thinking-Feeling facets, categorized as Logical-Empathetic and Reasonable-Compassionate.
